Mehighlow,

I was reading your comic today and noticed that you are looking for artists for Weave. I haven't really worked in comics before...well, not professionally. I do know how to do "panel art" if you will, and can follow a script. I am also quite good at mimicking another person's style. So if you are wanting to keep the design/layout the same, I'm your girl. I will admit to you that I am a horrible writer, and that I work much better with a script. I am hoping that's not a problem since you said you were looking for an artist and didn't mention anything about writing.

As far as pay is concerned, I'm pretty easy going. You just tell me what you think is fair and I'm probably going to agree with it.

Okay, so if you are interested I do have some of my work posted here,http://phlatline-deadkat.deviantart.com/ But, if you prefer, I can send you renditions of your comic so you can get a feel for what it would look like. Shanqari is my absolute favorite and have already done several drawings of her just for fun.

If you any questions please contact me at phlatline_dix@hotmail.com. I check my email regularly so you shouldn't have to wait long for a response.

It has been an honor getting to talk to you,
Jennifer Shelton

PS
I was unable to sent this to you via email and had to leave as comment instead. Sorry about that.

Hi

I'm getting blocked by your server, and can't send any emails, so I'll drop it in here. Contact me through my proxy email when you can.

You've apparently suffered the almost inevitable doom of any hobby, artist time limits. So I'm writing in to say I'm willing to take up the position.

I've been following Weave since I posted that massive comment way back whenever, which isn't long in the larger scheme of things, but it's been one of my favourite webcomics, and I'd hate to see it go under. So I'll offer my services, I'm not interested in money, just the experience and practice it'll bring me.

I'm not experienced at all in the comic industry, but do understand the general process that goes into their creation and the shortcuts necessary to keep things timeworthy. Additionally I'm quite a good writer and have a very solid understanding of story and composition. Indeed, writing was and has been for a very long time, one of things I happen to be natural at, so I can further offer those services where necessary. I learn very quickly, however, and once I've got something fizzling away in my head it's hard to shake and I'll usually get things exactly how they should be.

You've put the comic on Hiatus, and I think that's a good idea. If you take me up on my offer, I'll need to do character drawing practise, familiarise myself with your tale (from start to finish), the world and all the sundry details necessary to properly tell a good tale picture by picture. Additionally, we will probably spend a while bouncing back and forth on what the art style should be as mine is quite different from Manda's, in the sense that I tend to focus a lot on shading as it helps me define shape and form easier than lines. I've always had trouble with linework in plain and cold form and generally draw with a combination between line and shade.

As to realism, I can probably step that up as the recent comics had very little in the forms of extra effects and shadowing; and photoshop is one of those things I'm very capable with. Shortcuts abound if you know what to do!

Additionally, I don't mind mature content at all, blood, gore, violence, language and nudity don't bother me, neither is realism. My style has never really hit that direct comic look you might get from something like the Meek or Everblue. Let me know what you think and we can take things from there.

Cheers, Krayon
